Our client is a Danish start-up who develop online takeaway ordering. The organisation which has a base in London and Manchester build a platform for restaurants to manage takeaway orders, customers engagement and support and marketing which directly connects the food businesses with customers. They are currently working with 2000 plus restaurants in the UK, Ireland, Denmark and Germany and are growing at speed.

Our client enables smaller takeaways to develop an online ordering system and provide customers with a reliable delivery service.

Business Development Manager

Business Development Managers job's are to acquire new restaurant partners and support existing partners with excellent consultative account management. Working as a Business Development Manager is about taking ownership of your territories success It is vital to have a positive driven attitude.

How will you go about it:

New Business:

  • Spending 5 days in the field attending pre-booked meetings and visiting any potential new business opportunities in person which aren’t pre-booked.

  • Always on the lookout for new restaurants in your territory to bring onboard by actively researching your territory to identify those new business opportunities.

  • Driven towards achieving KPI success related to new business and account management, generating your commission.

  • You will be on the lookout for local events and activation opportunities that will help drive consumer awareness and demand - joining up local customers to the best local restaurant partners

  • Local, strategic growth plans to create a commercially successful territory. It’s your territory and your responsibility to ensure it’s as healthy as possible.

Account Management:

  • World-class account management with existing restaurant partners, having empathy and understanding of those partners.

  • Optimising the sales and profitability of the existing customer with marketing opportunities and best practices.

  • You’ll have full responsibility for the strategic management of all your existing restaurant partners, helping them grow their business, supporting them and ultimately ensuring they’re getting the most from the partnership.

  • Driven towards achieving KPI success related to new business and account management, generating your commission.

  • Passion - Adaptable with a can-do attitude - positive, proactive, and energised by working in a fast-paced environment characterised by constant change.

  • Action - Leads by example/Initiating ACTION

  • Compassion - Able to empathize and provide support wherever needed.

  • One Team - Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) – Ability to build rapport with your team, maintain calm during pressurized situations, and share information in a clear and logical manner.

  • Previous customer-facing sales experience would be an advantage, but not essential – All the training and support will be provided if you have the right attitude

What's on offer?

  • Basic Salary of £22,000-£26,000 (DOE) plus uncapped commission
