Established in 1992, our client is a family run international medical supplies company based in Stockport, supporting medical and veterinary professionals in the UK and across Europe and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA.) Our client is looking for Key Account Managers to come on board and join them as they continue to grow.


The role:

As Key Account Manager, your role will be to effectively manage the accounts delegated to you, whether it be a corporate group, buying group or both. You will also be expected to grow the sales significantly above the organic growth that exists within the accounts. As a Key Account Manager will be expected to provide punctual reports on Sales Activity, once a month to both the Sales Manager, and the Sales Director, as well as providing updates in the form of a brief presentation at each quarterly Sales Meeting


What will I do?

- Provide Effective Key Account Management and Sales growth for your Key Accounts.
- Analysing spend data in order to highlight growth opportunities within your accounts
- Identifying non-ordering & poor performing surgeries, and up-selling into them.
- Maintaining a strong relationship with all surgeries that fall under your remit
- Maintaining a strong business relationship with your groups Head Office, through regular contact, updates and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Dealing with serious customer complaints that fall under your account that cannot be dealt with by customer service.
- Ability to keep key objectives and goals in sight amongst a busy work schedule.
- Visit trade shows and exhibitions


More responsibilities?

- Complying with, and ideally exceeding previously agreed pipeline activity targets.
- Sending out samples to new and existing customers, with the sole purpose of increasing revenue.
- Taking ownership of decisions and actions made by yourself, across your accounts.
- Providing ideas and strategy for marketing campaigns, both digital and non-digital.
- Filling out, and returning in a timely manner, any price comparisons against other competitors - and translating these into Sales.


What skills do I need?

- Effective time management, to ensure your pipeline activities are met, along with other day to day tasks.
- A strong knowledge of the Veterinary Market, with continued development on the Veterinary industry, be this of competitors, products, prospective customers and general understanding of the industry and its make-up. This is not essential, but will be beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Written, oral and representational
- Strong computer skills, particularly on Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point.
- Strong negotiation skills.
