We’re all about championing healthy habits and encouraging our Gravitonians to look after their physical and mental wellbeing. That’s why we love to offer fun new ways to shake things up at Gravitas!

We have Wellness Wednesdays where our Gravitonians can take an extra-long lunch break to enjoy an activity that boosts their wellness; this could be enjoying a walk in the fresh air, reading a book or even just enjoying lunch outside and soaking up the sun in summer.

We also like to give our Gravitonians the chance to switch things up on their way to the office, which is why we have a cycle-to-work scheme.

There are a couple of ways to take part in the scheme. Our teams can either buy cycle equipment or a bike of their choice at a discounted rate, or for our Londoners, we also offer City Bike Hire discounts by partnering with Cyclescheme and Santander Cycles.

Our schemes aren’t just for work either. Anyone who uses the scheme can use their bike after work, on the weekends or whenever they fancy. Not only can our Gravitonians get from A to B with ease, but the scheme is a great way to explore somewhere new.

There are lots of benefits of cycling to work, such as enjoying more exercise which releases feel-good endorphins and helps to boost your mood.

Taking up a new form of transport is also a great way to enjoy your surroundings more and avoid bumping elbows with the morning commuters. For those looking to make the world greener, cycling instead of driving can helpreduce your carbon footprint, so it’s good for you and good for the planet.

Matt Hepworth, our Head of Business Development for Gravitas Consultancy Solutions, loves the cycle to work scheme.

“I cycle to work for a number of reasons – it is a great way to squeeze some extra exercise in each day, allows me some time to either think over a particular challenge I’ve got or to decompress at the end of the day, and I prefer it to travelling in on a busy train, which takes a similar time desk-to-front-door anyway!”
