Why am I passionate about DEI?
I am super passionate about DEI and not just because I am a black female, but because I am a firm believer in everyone having a voice and feeling like they belong.
Why is it important for Gravitas to focus on DEI?
It would be great to get to a point where DEI is not a “focus” but is instead “natural” to be a part of a diverse team where there is a sense of belonging.
To get there we need to “Spark the conversation” and gain knowledge and understanding of people’s background and culture that is different from our own.
What does it mean to me being a DEI ambassador?
I really want to be a part of the change, however small. I want to learn from people of all races, ages, sex, experiences, and backgrounds and contribute to DEI in whichever way I can. As a collective, I believe people will feel our passion, which will hopefully encourage Allyship.
