I am passionate about social justice and firmly believe that discrimination, of any kind, has no place in our modern-day workplace. I think that recruitment has a pivotal role in taking positive D&I action– from designing blind selection processes through to assessing whether company and job descriptions use language that can immediately turn off certain groups of people. By enacting simple changes like these in the way we work, we can have a big impact on our communities.
I love Zero Discrimination Day on 1st March because it’s a fairly new idea created by the UN, it is a catch all for all groups and has a purpose of achieving global harmony – you may say I am a dreamer, but I am not the only one.
